PFA Monthly Gathering and Teacher Talk: Navigating Middle School: Tips for Success and Conversations with the CMS Deans

The November PFA Monthly Gathering and Teacher Talk will provide insights into essential topics for families of students in grades 6 – 8, with opportunities for parents to engage in conversations with Case Middle School Assistant Principal Chase Mitsuda and CMS Administrative Deans.
The talk will cover the following topics in relation to middle school students, but parents of all grades are welcome to attend.
Homework and Time Management: Understanding how to help your child be set up for success at home and at school, manage their workload, and navigate study halls.
Talking to Teens and Preteens: Practical advice on communication strategies that foster openness and trust with your middle school child.
Self-Advocating: Understanding when and how a student should self-advocate, using what to do when they are absent from school as an example.
Technology and Cell Phone Use: Engaging in a discussion on the school’s cell phone policies, the role of social media, and best practices for managing tech use at home.
