Flaming “P”
Punahou’s Flaming “P” ceremony is a tradition at Punahou celebrating school spirit. Enjoy an evening of great food, keiki activities, a pep rally and the lighting of a 20-foot tall “P” structure. Show your school pride by wearing Buff and Blue!
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. with the lighting of the “P” planned for 6:55 p.m.

Helpful Reminders
- Parents, alumni and other event attendees may not reserve space on campus (including on or near Rice Field, Pukui Learning Commons or the Lily Pond) until 3:30 p.m. Please do not set up mats and/or chairs prior to 3:30 p.m.
- Friday is a regular school day, and campus will open at 3:30 p.m. to all attendees and visitors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
- Parking will be available on campus from 3:30 p.m. on Lower Field. Please do not attempt to park on campus prior to 3:30 p.m.
- Students in kindergarten – grade 5 must be supervised by parents/guardians at all times during this event. This is not a classroom event.
- Loitering is not allowed at Omidyar Neighborhood, Kosasa Community, Case Middle School, the Academy Quad and Alexander Field.
- Consider bringing a blanket or mat to sit on, umbrella and sunscreen. A flashlight helps when it gets dark.
- For student and crowd safety, glow stick bracelets and necklaces MAY NOT be worn or distributed.
- Personal tables and pop-up tents are not allowed.
We encourage all attendees to purchase food and beverages on campus from Dole Hall or the Forrest Hall Concession Stand.
- Dole Hall will offer: Chili & Rice Bowl, Veggie Chili & Rice Bowl, Kalua Pig & Rice, Chicken Katsu & Rice, Ahi Poke Bowl, Caesar Salad, Teri Burger, Garden Burger, Chicken Burger, Spam Musubi, Fruit Cup, Various Ice Creams and Snacks, Assorted Beverages and Carton Water.
- Forrest Hall Concession will offer: Boba lemonade and iced tea, Buff ’n Blue craft items.
