Reina Gammarino ’24
2024 Senior Awardee
Three graduating seniors from the Class of 2024 – Esther Chan, Connor Davidson and Reina Gammarino – were selected by their deans to receive PAA’s Senior Award, which includes a cash award of $1,000. The Senior Award recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership and service to both Punahou and the community.
Reina Gammarino is a fixer, who identifies a problem and then digs in and actively works toward change. She has worked as a youth organizer on initiatives related to climate change and was named a fellow at the Villars Institute Symposium. Passionate about politics and global issues, Reina established her own NGO called Student Advocates for Responsible Technology and has been active with Punahou’s David Democracy Initiative. Reina also traveled to Japan as a recipient of the Hiroshima Peace Scholarship. At Punahou, she fully participated in the life and betterment of her community as not only an impressive student, but also as editor for both Ka Punahou and Ka Wai Ola, and as a competitor in debate, Model UN, the History Bowl, as well as tennis and cross country.
