Aloha, Fellow ‘Linkable’ Classmates of ’97,
Next June marks 25 years since we graduated from Punahou and ‘commenced with the courage of our memories’ as Ben Chaffin put it. Looking forward to this milestone, we are excited to reconnect, celebrate, and as we reminisce, figure out if Jacqueline Schmidt and David Shapiro were actually right about life being a test, and (hopefully) we were educated enough!
Please mark June 6 – 12, 2022 on your calendar for Alumni Week. Alumni Lū‘au is Saturday, June 11.
Pandemic conditions are trending in a positive direction and we are optimistic about being able to gather in person next June. In the meantime, we will provide updates on Class merchandise sales and registration deadlines. Our gatherings will adhere to Hawai‘i’s regulations for large events, including health and safety precautions. There may also be opportunities to join some events virtually.
We have also set a Reunion Class Gift goal of $500,000 and 70% participation in celebration of this milestone year. When you give to Punahou before June 30, 2022, your gift will count towards our goal. Thank you for your support, and we cannot wait to ‘link up’ together again next June!
Mahalo,
Class of 1997 25th Reunion Committee
