Noelani Schraedel

Noelani Schraedel was born and raised in Hawai‘i, where she was a member of the prestigious Drill Team Hawai‘i, under the direction of Penny Young, for 12 years. She trained in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet. While dancing on Drill Team Hawai‘i, she was a student teacher and assisted classes for preschool and elementary students.

Following her time in Hawai‘i, she moved to Utah to pursue a dance degree. She attended Brigham Young University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with an  emphasis in Contemporary. While at BYU, she was a member of the Contemporary Dance Theatre, BYU's Touring Company. Her dance career has taken her all over the world and has led her to have some of the best experiences, which include, performing at various University Homecoming games, LA Lakers & Utah Jazz games, as well as performing and learning in New York City, Utah, California, Florida, Disney parks, and even Japan. She has competed throughout her life including Disney's Contest of Champions Nationals, Showstoppers, Hollywood Vibe, NYCDA, NUVO, and Jump Dance Convention, where she was a scholarship winner. She has trained with and performed pieces by Nathan Balser, Liz Dibble, Daniel Charon, Kate Monson, members of Ririe-Woodbury, Kate Weare Company, Ihsan Rustem, "Tito" with Nikolais Dance Theatre, Limon Dance Company, LAJAMARTIN, and many more. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance at Hollins University. Noelani loves teaching dance to everyone. She loves it so much, she has been teaching for over 10 years throughout Utah and Hawai‘i. She is excited to continue teaching in hopes that she can teach people how dance is more than just an art, but a way of life.
